Brevo

Stores a big free list, but sends only 300 emails a day

The free plan stores up to 100,000 contacts and includes automation for up to 2,000 of them, but it caps sending at 300 emails a day. Paid plans are priced by monthly email volume rather than list size, starting at $9 a month.

Is Brevo right for you?

Where you sellNo direct connection to any of the four. Thinkific is listed, but their own page says it runs through Zapier, which is a separate subscription.

Use Brevo if

  • You are starting out and want new subscribers to get a welcome email automatically, without paying for it yet.
  • You want to keep a list of up to 100,000 people in one place for free, and 300 emails a day is enough for what you send.

Don't use Brevo if

  • You want to email more than 300 people at once without paying. The free plan sends at most 300 emails a day, however many people it stores. Kit can email up to 10,000 people at once for free.
  • You sell through Teachable, Kajabi, Podia or Thinkific and want the two joined up without paying for Zapier as well. None of those four connect directly: Thinkific is listed, but through Zapier rather than a direct integration. Kit lists all four directly.

The details that decide it

The things that bite six months in, read off Brevo's own pages. Where we could not read a page reliably, the row is left out rather than guessed at.

Works with where you sellintegrations
Of Teachable, Kajabi, Podia and Thinkific, only Thinkific appears in Brevo's own integrations directory, and its page says the connection runs through automation platforms such as Zapier, Make or n8n. Searching the directory for Teachable, Kajabi and Podia returned no apps. Zapier is listed in the directory. Source
Getting your people inmigration
Self-serve. Brevo publishes its own Mailchimp integration that imports your Mailchimp contacts and keeps them synced, and a file or copy-paste import tool. Only contacts who consented to hear from you in the last two years can be imported. No done-for-you migration service was found on their pages. Source
What else it costs
Paid plans are priced by monthly email volume, and that volume also caps how many contacts you can store: 500 at 5,000 emails, 1,500 at 10,000 and 2,500 at 15,000. On those tiers, reaching the contact limit upgrades you to the next tier automatically and the price rises. Emails you do not use in a month expire. Removing the Brevo logo is a paid add-on on Starter, and automation for unlimited contacts starts at Standard. Source
Getting your list back out
Cancelling is self-serve from the My plan page and moves you to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. Their help page says cancelling does not delete any data, though automations drop back to the 2,000-contact limit. The catch comes later: their help page says you have to log in every four months, or the Free account is deleted automatically. Their terms of service give six months instead, so Brevo's own pages disagree. Plan around the shorter one. Source

What other people scored Brevo

Not our scores. This is the public rating on one review site that has no connection to us, read on 12 September 2026. It links to the page it came from, so you can check it and read the reviews there.

No G2 score. G2 refused to load its Brevo reviews page for us on 12 September 2026, in two separate browser attempts, so there is no G2 score to show. Missing is not the same as low.

We do not average these into one number. A blend would be our figure wearing someone else's authority, and it would hide it when two sets of customers disagree. Scores move, so treat the date above as the age of the reading, not a promise about today.

Brevo, answered

Does Brevo have a free plan?
Yes. Brevo's free plan covers 100,000 subscribers and 300 emails/day. We read this off their pricing page on 12 September 2026.
Can Brevo send an automated welcome sequence on the free plan?
Yes. Automation is included free for up to 2,000 unique contacts entering your active automations. Once that limit is reached, no more contacts can enter. That matters more than it sounds: most free plans let you broadcast but will not automate, so a new subscriber gets nothing until you sit down and write to them.
What does Brevo cost once the free plan runs out?
The entry paid plan is Starter at $9/mo, billed monthly for 5,000 emails a month and up to 500 contacts, read in USD through their own currency selector ($8.08/mo billed yearly). The page defaulted to AUD for us: A$12 monthly, A$10.83/mo billed yearly. The price climbs with email volume: $15.25/mo at 10,000 emails and $22.50/mo at 15,000, billed yearly. Prices on every platform here move with list size, so treat that as the floor rather than the bill.
What is the catch with Brevo?
Sending is the limit, not your list. The free plan stops at 300 emails a day, so a campaign to more than 300 people has to be resent by hand, 300 a day, and free emails always carry the Sent with Brevo logo. On its three smallest paid tiers, passing 500, 1,500 or 2,500 contacts moves you up a tier automatically and the price rises.
