Moosend
Cheap once you pay, but nothing is free
A 30-day trial with no card required, then seven dollars a month at 500 contacts with unlimited sends. Now owned by Constant Contact.
Is Moosend right for you?
Where you sellNone of the four course platforms appears in their integrations directory, so connecting one means routing it through Zapier, a separate subscription.
Use Moosend if
- Your course already earns enough that a monthly bill from day one is not the problem.
- You write to your people regularly, not just when you have something to sell.
Don't use Moosend if
- You want new subscribers to get a welcome email automatically, and you are not ready to pay. MailerLite does that for free.
- You have no budget yet. There is no free plan here at all, only a trial. MailerLite is free to 250.
- You sell through Teachable, Kajabi, Podia or Thinkific and want the two joined up without paying for Zapier as well. None of those four appear in their integrations directory. Kit lists all four directly.

The details that decide it
The things that bite six months in, read off Moosend's own pages. Where we could not read a page reliably, the row is left out rather than guessed at.
- Works with where you sellintegrations
- Lists over 80 integrations and not one course platform among them. No Teachable, Kajabi, Podia or Thinkific, so a course would have to connect through Zapier. Source
- What else it costs
- Transactional email, a dedicated IP, custom report dashboards, hosted files and extra team members are all add-ons rather than included, so the Pro price is a floor rather than the whole bill. Source
- Getting your list back out
- Their pricing page says that when a free trial ends your account and all your data stay intact, and you regain access as soon as you upgrade. Their terms and conditions (a PDF linked from their legal page) add two things the pricing page does not mention: a paid subscription is non-cancelable and non-refundable once paid, and it automatically renews for another term unless either side gives written notice at least 60 days before the current term ends. What happens to a list on an ordinary cancellation, short of a breach or non-payment, is still not stated. Source
What other people scored Moosend
Not our scores. These are the public ratings on two review sites that have no connection to us, read on 6 September 2026. Each one links to the page it came from, so you can check it and read the reviews there.
- G24.6 out of 54.6
744 reviewsRead them on G2
- Trustpilot2.8 out of 52.8
83 reviewsRead them on Trustpilot
- Reviewers disagree about this one. It scores 4.6 on G2 and 2.8 on Trustpilot. Read a page of each before you decide, because one of those audiences is having a different experience to the other.
- The Trustpilot score rests on 83 reviews, which is a small enough number that a handful of unhappy or delighted people can move it.
We do not average these into one number. A blend would be our figure wearing someone else's authority, and it would hide it when two sets of customers disagree. Scores move, so treat the date above as the age of the reading, not a promise about today.
Moosend, answered
- Does Moosend have a free plan?
- Not one we could confirm. Their pricing page showed 30-day trial only when we checked on 9 September 2026. The cheapest paid plan is Pro at $7/mo.
- Can Moosend send an automated welcome sequence on the free plan?
- No. There is no free plan, so automations need a paid plan once the trial ends. If an automated welcome sequence is the thing you need on day one, MailerLite allows it free.
- What does Moosend cost once the free plan runs out?
- The entry paid plan is Pro at $7/mo, billed yearly at 500 contacts; $9 billed monthly. Prices on every platform here move with list size, so treat that as the floor rather than the bill.
- What is the catch with Moosend?
- There is no permanent free plan, only a 30-day trial, so there is no way to park a list here without paying every month.
